Changes in the development version (15 may 2012):

  • Various little bugs corrected
  • Added a crash handler that can hopefully save your data upon a crash

Changes in the development version (14 may 2012):

  • Autosave (always / only when simulation is running)
  • Saved files are compressed in background with 7-Zip (.geo7z container)
  • Profiles are now saved and loaded from GEO files
  • Collienar facets are detected and can be deleted
  • Geometry editor: rotation
  • Geometry editor: align
  • Geometry editor copy functions now copy mesh parameters too
  • molflowSub.exe processes self-close when Moflow is not running anymore
  • Geometry is passed to sub-processes only when necessary (faster facet parameter changes)
  • Vertex collapse routine is now about ~40% faster
  • Version 1 (very old) GEO files can now be loaded

  • Selections (facet groups) can be memorized, they are also saved / loaded from GEO files
  • Process control is moved to Global Settigns
  • Facet hits panel (lower right) can now be sorted by clicking the column labels
  • Mouse selection is more responsive for large systems: progressbar / hourglass cursor added
  • CAPS LOCK restricts selectable facets to those with a selected vertex
  • Profile Plotter can select the plotted facet
  • Recent... file menu is now in chronological order
  • Facet parameters panel reordered (particle input / output separated)
  • Blue gradient background
  • On startup, only one viewer is visble

  • Corrected a calculation error where pressure was divided by the square root of the tempereature
  • Corrected a bug which gave "Invalid outgassing rate" error on some facets
  • Fixed a bug where Molflow crashed after removing facets with a plotted profile
  • Average pressure is now correctly displayed on facets with 0 opacity
  • OpenGL corrections (edge bleeding / Z-fighting problems fixed)

Changes in the development version (23 april 2012):

  • Corrected a bug where subprocesses gave an error for 2-sided source facets
  • "Correct non-simple polygons" algorithm is fast for large systems
  • Corrected a bug that crashed Molfow on Exploding/Collapsing facets with mesh

Changes in the development version (13 april 2012):

New Features
  • Outgassing rate can be set individually for each facet
  • Direct pressure display (texture scale, texture plotter, profile plotter, facet details dialogs)
  • Geometry ediftor: Facet mirroring
  • Facet copy (move/mirror options) now copies the mesh properties
  • Gas molecular mass is now a global setting (not a facet paramater)
  • Menus reordered, selection commands are now grouped together
  • Selecting a facet now scrolls the bottom right facet list
  • "This will reset simulation data" confirmation added for geometry edits
  • "Discard geometry?" asked when exiting by clicking X on the top right corner
  • Detected when 3 selected vertices are on the same line (plane definition)
  • Collapse dialog changed, each collapse option can be toggled
  • Save... dialog changes to Save as... if no file name is defined yet
  • When a new facet is created, it gets selected automatically
  • Removed Update button from Mesh... dialog (update is automatic)

  • Texture viewer now displays the correct number of hits
  • "Correct non-simple polygons" algorithm is faster (large systems don't hang)
  • Textures are now autoscales even on facets without a full mesh element

Changes in the development version (5 april 2012):

New Features
  • Insert geometry file to current loaded geometry (File -> Insert geometry...)
  • Basic geometry editor:
    • Add vertex
    • Move/Copy selected facets
    • Move/Copy selected vertices
    • Find isolated vertices
  • Support for different distance units when opening STL files

  • Small changes in menu order (geometry editor commands grouped)
  • Texture autoscaling: small texture elements disregarded

  • Texture exporting now doesn't add empty lines
  • Open / Save file dialogs now manage extensions correctly

Changes in the development version of (27 march 2012):

Different from ver. 2.2

  • 2-sided facets now have 2-sided desorption
  • Slow zooming changed to Ctrl + Mouse Wheel
  • Fast zooming changed to Shift + Mouse Wheel

New Features

  • New tool: vertex selector
  • Select coplanar vertices on screen
  • Create convex polygon from selected vertices
  • Move vertices by offset
  • New facet parameter: "teleport" (for periodic boundary condition)
  • Hit, line and leak caches (last 2048 visible on screen) are now saved
  • Autocorrect non-simple facets (upon load file & collapse)
  • New collapse option: collinear side merge
  • Isolated vertices removed after collapse
  • Facets’ volume/texture display can be toggled individually (Mesh menu)
  • Saving a file inserts it in the "Load recent" list

  • Confirmation dialogs for discarding unsaved changes
  • Antialiasing for facet wireframes (Edit / Global settings)
  • White background option (Edit / Global settings)
  • “.geo” file extension added automatically at save
  • Calculate flow speed / sticking ratio as you type
